I’m playing a little bit nerdy with this game with my sense of time and ageing.

Time and Seasons
I play with the seasons set to 28 days, allowing me to switch happily between the playable households and spend a bit of time with each of them. As I’m playing about four households, I will probably spend on average about a week with each.
I play in ‘years’ meaning that each season will have roughly three months. I’m contemplating using the holidays function to separate the months – more on that below.

Ageing
I play with ageing off and so I age up the playable households manually. I have set ages for each of them (see their profile pages) and they will have a birthday once a year. So if a baby is born in Autumn, Year 2, they will remain a baby until Autumn, Year 3.
Baby – 0-1 years
Toddler – 1-4 years
Child – 5-12 years
Teen – 12-18 years
Young Adult – 18-35 years
Adult – 35-60 years
Elder – 60+ years
