Year 1 ~ Autumn

Inevitably, Monique had a message for Seti some time later. She was pregnant! Aziz was the first person they told – after all, he was going to be a Grandfather! He couldn’t have been happier for Seti.

Being the gentleman he is, Seti insisted Monique moved in with him. She’s very excited – she’s going to be a Mum!

The whole family went out for a celebratory breakfast at the restaurant. It gave Monique a chance to meet Seti’s brothers properly and get to know them all, since she’s going to be family!

As he pregnancy progresses, she gets more and more uncomfortable. Thankfully, Seti is a very attentive boyfriend 🙂

Finally, after a few hours of labour, Monique gave birth to twin boys, Ethan and Damien!

Seti’s so proud of Monique. Their goal now is to save up so they can buy a house. The two bedroomed apartment is okay while the twins are babies but as they get older, they’ll need a lot more space!

After another workout, Ra went for a stroll through the modern area of Windenburg. He even managed to witness the first snow of the year as he breathed in the cool, sea air.

That night was the premiere for a new season of Ra’s favourite show, The Tomb Raiders. This season, they’re exploring the Egyptian tombs of Al Simhara. Ra’s particularly excited because Al Simhara was his father’s birthplace! He even recognised some of the landmarks in the premiere from his visits to Egypt as a child. It seems, however, that Ra might have been the only person to see the premiere. Nobody else had.

There was some good news for Ra though – his book of short stories for young adults had been nominated for a Simlight Accolade! He went out to the Blue Velvet to celebrate with a group of complete, yet merry, strangers. Aziz then invited him out to a bar in Oasis Springs for the Talent Show. Ra didn’t know Aziz even played the violin (nor did I). It seems like he probably wasn’t missing much!

The best news of course, was that Ra won the award! He was so excited and proud! He’s vowed to work as hard as he can on each of his writing projects.

Erika wants to be famous. Very famous. So she’s signed up with an agency and is going to be an actress – she hopes. She starts rehearsing for her part in an upcoming advert. She’s very excited and a little nervous. Pazir is full of support for her though.

A late night writing session, Ra? He wandered past Pazir and Erika’s apartment looking a little bleary-eyed and clutching his coffee one morning.

Pazir and Erika have moved into their own house! They’ve bought a small, two-bedroomed house in Newcrest. (I forgot to take pictures of the exterior. I will next time I play them though!). Erika approves.

“She’s got the look, she’s got the look

What in the world can make a brown-eyed girl turn blue?”

Erika won’t be bragging about her first acting role any time soon. Thankfully, nobody will recognise her. Hopefully, they won’t recognise her singing voice at the end of the advert, either.

This happened. Apparently, Erika and Moira don’t get along yet Moira phoned and invited Erika out so they could settle their differences. It worked because they talked all through dinner and have ended up with a tiny green bar of friendship. A long way to go before full friends but better than disliking each other.

Pazir and Erika weren’t too bothered about celebrating Harvestfest this year. However, Pazir did add a little companion to their lives. Erika is a cat lover so…meet Cream Soda.

By far the most spoilt cat if ever there was one.

Seth called round to visit them and see how they were settling in. Erika got quite excited – Seth’s a celebrity! Only a local one, admittedly but she’d seen several advert’s he’d been in. She got a little fangirlish at this point. Seth clearly adores the attention.

“Hey, how you doin’?”

Pazir had seen enough and went to bed.

A few days before the official start of winter, Aziz and Seth went to the train station in the Spice district to greet Ameen, Aziz’s brother. Ameen, his new wife Marina and her two children, Seraphina and Marco are going to be staying with Aziz and Seth until after Christmas when they hope to buy their own place. Ameen just got a job in the local hospital and Marina is an artist.

*Gameplay Note ~ For those who are familiar with the sims in Al Simhara in Sims 3, you’ll know that Ameen Moussa lives with his child brother Aziz, their mother Nabila and grandmother Uum. I’ve always adored Ameen and always envisioned him as a doctor. Marina is a TS4 version of Marina Prattle from Bridgeport. Seraphina is a paper girl in Bridgeport but I’ve always been struck by the fact that her and Marina look exactly alike and are dressed alike, yet not related in Bridgeport. I usually make them mother and daughter. Marco came from Sunset Valley as a different paperboy when I once played Marina, Ameen and Seraphina in that town. He was so cute with his curly hair that Marina ‘adopted’ him. The backstory for this version, however, is that Marina is divorced, he ex-husband is Italian from Monte Vista and that Marina and Ameen have just recently got married in Bridgeport before moving to San Myshuno for a while.

Thankfully, the Spice festival was in town to warm everyone up since it was so cold out. Seth actually got crowned Spice Champion!

That’s what you call a busy autumn!

Year 1 ~ Autumn

The Moussa’s have moved into apartments of their own to free up some space. Aziz has stayed living with Seth since the two have always been particularly close. Ra invited Aziz over to see his new apartment in the Spice district. It’s certainly not perfect but Ra’s priority is saving up for another trip to Selvadorada.

Meanwhile, Seth took Zoe out for lunch in Newcrest and was generally very charming. Zoe’s very smitten with him but I wonder how smitten with her he really is?

Seti and Monique got all the paperwork in order and set up a band! They’re called Sparkling Sands and are already hard at work, hoping to release a single soon. Monique’s learning to play the violin and Seti’s working to master the dozens of buttons and switches to start recording, editing and producing music. It’s all very exciting for them both!

Seti wanted to introduce Monique to Aziz. After all, they were both going to be working very closely together in the band. Aziz wondered if there was something more to it than that but opted to say nothing.

Seti also lives in the Spice district, in the building next door to Ra. He’s keen to get along with his neighbours and they all come round to introduce themselves shortly after he moves in. Given how noisy some of them are, I don’t know how well this will go but we’ll have to see.

Ra works as a writer but with a dedication to archaeology, his hobby. Eventually, he wants to write a travel guide to Selvadorada and it’s wonderful jungle. First however, he needs to explore that jungle and to do that, he’ll need to get fit. He spots his father in the gym on one of his many trips and later comes face to face and has a conversation with Kayla Flemming! His gym trainer (the blonde) doesn’t look impressed.

Before he does travel back to the jungle, Ra wants to be better at exploring the various archaeological points of interest. The spare room in his apartment is perfect for setting up his archaeology table and examining the artefacts he found.

Ra’s not the only one getting fit. Pazir’s taken to jogging around his new neighbourhood in a bid to keep fit and meet the locals. His office job is great but there’s nothing like a jog early in the morning, before the sun rises.

There’s also nothing quite like the peace and tranquillity of sitting up late, working on a series of plugins for some extra cash.

Pazir went along to the Romance festival, since he was still single. The Romance Guru told him someone tall with dark hair was in his future. Low and behold, standing behind the Guru was Erika Mori – tall and with dark hair. Well, Pazir was instantly taken with her and she with him.

Pazir had to work in the few days following the festival but he couldn’t quite get Erika out of his head. Just as he was about the phone her and invite her out, she asked him out to the pub! One glass of wine later and they’re VERY merry 😉

The whirlwind doesn’t stop there, however. Pazir produced a ring and got down on bended knee and asked Erika to marry him!

*Gameplay Note ~ Pazir really did have a whim to get engaged to Erika. I’ve decided to go ahead with it simply because there really does seem to be a whirlwind moving them both. I’ve no idea how long this relationship will last but here’s to hoping they go the distance!

Erika accepted the proposal! While she was in the ladies, Pazir told everyone in the pub about his whirlwind engagement. He was oblivious to the obvious contempt of the other patrons. Perhaps they objected to their evening at the pub being interrupted by these two?

There was only one thing left to do at the end of such an evening – move in together!

A quick makeover for Erika 😉

Pazir realised his family might be a bit surprised by his sudden engagement – he hadn’t even actually told them he was seeing anyone. He decided the best way would be a family dinner at Lakeland restaurant in Newcrest. While they were all quite surprised, they were very pleased for Pazir. Erika came along later to introduce herself.

Nice to see the Langraab family enjoying the Lego bricks in the children’s section at the restaurant!

Seth needed to practice a romantic scene for his next filming role. He’s got a bit-part in a soap and who better to rehearse with than Zoe? He also generated a small audience 😉

He went blonde for this role. Seth’s so dedicated to his acting, it’s actually quite adorable. He’s got mostly gold performances to his name, much to the astonishment of his talent agency. If they don’t cut out the sarcasm, he may choose a new agency!

Aziz wanted to volunteer to do something. So he volunteered for a beach clean up…

…in the autumn.

Seti went to pick up a coffee early one morning and spotted Ra queuing to do the same. He was planning on asking Monique out on a date that evening and needed a little boost. Ra gave his brother a good luck hug. Dates were scary stuff!

Obviously the date went well. Seti certainly impressed Monique with his singing (pity he didn’t impress me. As adorable as Seti is, he needs a LOT more practice before he’s allowed to sing in public. I mean that, too 😛 ) and these two sealed the deal with a surprise kiss 😉
